My Approach

I believe every person has inherent strengths and abilities, the desire to heal and the potential for growth. Sometimes life has left wounds and scars that make it hard to see or experience your true self. This can look like bad things that happened to you or good things that you never received. I see my role as a guide and support on the path to wellness. As we work together to identify and release the stuck parts that are holding you back, you can begin to experience more freedom and space in your life.  

As a first step, we will explore what is bothering you and what you hope to get out of therapy. Next we will set goals for our work together that will help us stay on track, guide sessions and measure progress. Then we will begin the work that will help you to feel better, live authentically in alignment with your values and increase confidence in your ability to navigate life's challenges.

Techniques Used

Integrative Therapy

Integrative Therapy is a holistic approach that takes into account the whole person including their emotional, mental and physical needs. This approach recognizes no two people are identical and draws from multiple psychological approaches based on each individual's needs. I became a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional in 2023.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an eight phase treatment model that uses bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping or sounds) to process painful memories on an emotional and physiological level. Many people find accelerated relief from disturbing feelings and limiting beliefs following EMDR Therapy. I completed EMDRIA Approved EMDR Training in 2022. 

Nutrition for Mental Health

Scientific studies are giving further understanding to the mind-body connection and how diet can impact mental health. I have a particular interest in the area and am thrilled when client's are curious about the food-mood connection. I have completed over 900 hours of nutritional study and obtained a Certificate in Nutritional Coaching from Bauman College in 2020.
